| AnimalWorks, Inc. is the umbrella company for Launder Dog, the VersaTub, and Pet Business Seminars and Consulting Services. Pamela Demarest started it in 1996 when she left her job in the corporate world to open Launder Dog, a very successful, self-service dog wash and grooming shop in Sacramento, California. She was like many people who wanted to start a business and since necessity is the mother of invention it all fell into place. One day she was washing her dog when she had a light bulb moment, "Why not provide space where dog owners can come to bathe, groom and pamper their four-legged pals?" Soon after she opened Launder Dog and a website followed to give her customers more information. The past several years has shown that when you combine your love for animals with your skills you can produce a successful company that people and pets both respond to and appreciate. Launder Dog started Pamela searching for the perfect tubs for the business and found nothing suitable on the market, except expensive stainless steel tubs. Therefore she began developing the most efficient, safe and professional tub for washing pets, the VersaTub. AnimalWorks, Inc. is developing Pet Business Seminars throughout the U.S. to start in the Fall of 2002. | Letter from the President Pamela Demarest |
 Thank you for visiting the VersaTub website. My adventure of working with animals started in 1995 when I experimented with a small pet-related gift shop in front of a grooming shop in Northern California. But it probably truly began for me as a child trying to dress up the reluctant family cats and wheel them around in a doll carriage. Or get the hens to follow me around the yard. Or attempting to catch the calf on my grandparent's dairy farm. I simply loved animals. I thought that they were the windows to the world. And at that tender pre-school age, I wanted to be like them.But to make a living as an adult, I worked in the stodgy, human Corporate World. And by all rights, I actually achieved a modicum of success. But my world became real and genuine when I decided to work with animals and surround myself with others who loved their pets (companions) as I did mine. My company, AnimalWorks, Inc., is all about that process. It's about developing products and services and sharing that knowledge and experience with other like-minded humans. AnimalWorks, Inc is about working on behalf of animals. Not a bad idea at all. I think it's what I was meant to do. Pamela Demarest President, AnimalWorks, Inc.
